I don’t understand my parents most of the time.

I REALLY don’t understand them today.

We are in the car. We’re driving to the zoo. It should be so exciting and fun. It should be laughter and promises of cotton candy.

But no.

Not with MY parents.

My parents are SILENT.

I’m sitting in the back seat writing in my diary. I’m writing because I got so bored. No one has said ONE word in the last FIVE MINUTES.

I guess it’s better than it was when we first left.
